Alan Bouterie, Sr., a resident of St. Bernard Parish, received his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of New Orleans and his juris doctorate in law from Loyola School of Law. Mr. Bouterie, Sr. was admitted to the Bar in 1985. For 28 years he has maintained his ongoing law practice in Chalmette, Louisiana, years later opening a satellite office out of Slidell, Louisiana.

In addition to many years of expertise in Family Law, Mr. Bouterie, Sr. has maintained a full civil calendar including, civil litigation, real estate matters and personal injury. His general practice extends to include Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, Bankruptcy, Notary Public and Legal Discovery.

Mr. Bouterie, Sr. is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and he is currently the Treasurer of the St. Bernard 34th Judicial District Court Bar Association and has been Treasurer of the association for the past 20 years.
