Melanie M. Licciardi is a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish and an associate at the Bouterie Law Firm, APLC.  Melanie graduated from Louisiana State University in 2010, after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, after just three years.  Following her lifelong dream, she then graduated from Loyola University College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor.  Melanie worked in the legal field while receiving her education, interning for the Honorable Nancy A. Konrad of Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court and later clerking at several local law firms.

Representing clients all throughout Louisiana, today Melanie’s practice is primarily focused on the many facets of family law, including divorce, custody, paternity, visitation, child support, spousal support, property partitions, adoptions and Protective Orders/Restraining Orders.  The other part of her practice is devoted to helping client’s navigate the complex nature of their personal injury, bankruptcy, worker’s compensation cases, and helping client’s plan for the future in drafting Last Wills and Testaments, Living Wills and Powers of Attorney.

In addition to litigating in the civil realm, Melanie has also gathered vast knowledge and trial experience in the criminal law arena, including in the areas of felony, juvenile, domestic violence, misdemeanor, and traffic cases. 

Already in her young but distinguished career, she has served as counsel of record and participated in trial and appellate court practice in several complex civil and criminal cases.  Melanie is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s trial school and is licensed to practice in all Louisiana District Courts, all Louisiana Appellate Courts, the Louisiana Supreme Court and the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.  She is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, 34th JDC Bar Association, and the 24th Bar Association.
